INTRODUCING THE WORLD'S STRONGEST STONE AND MULCH BINER

WHAT IS STONEHOLD?

StoneHold is a water-based binder specifically designed to hold loose stones and mulch in place. The product is developed, tested, and manufactured in Ireland at our state-of-the-art production facility. This non-toxic solution keeps decorative stones and mulch firmly in place, minimizing shifting and mess. Discover below why StoneHold is the ultimate choice for stabilizing stones and mulch!

Coverage depends on the application method, the type of aggregate, and the thickness; a 2.5-liter kit is sufficient for up to 5m² and should be applied in dry conditions.

INSTALL IN 5 EASY STEPS

Step 1

Apply with a pressure sprayer

Ensure the decorative stones or mulch are clean and dry before application. Use a pressure sprayer to evenly coat the surface with StoneHold. Hold the spray bottle approximately 6–8 inches (15–20 cm) above the stones and apply a generous but controlled amount. The goal is to lightly saturate the topsoil without creating puddles.

Step 2

Rake through the stones

After the first layer, use a rake or trowel to carefully turn the stones over. This distributes the binder more evenly and allows it to penetrate deeper into the underlying layers. This prevents clumping and ensures a natural, even result.

Step 3

Reapply StoneHold

After raking, apply a second coat of StoneHold with a pressure sprayer. This extra layer will create a stronger bond between the stones. Cover the entire surface evenly for consistent adhesion.

Step 4

Press the stones with a trowel

For a smooth, even finish, lightly press the surface with a hand trowel or similar flat tool. This helps set the stones and create a more compact finish. Don't press too hard—just enough to allow the binder to set.

Step 5

Wait 24 hours, repeat for maximum adhesion

Allow the surface to dry for at least 24 hours before applying a final coat. This allows the first few coats to cure properly. After 24 hours, apply a light finish coat for added durability and long-term stability. Once dry, the stones will stay firmly in place, minimizing movement and mess while maintaining a natural look.
